Hands On Education
A very hands on education is provided when students help with the set up and production of local events. This exposes them to a completely different industry of television production. Multiple camera positions, broadcast announcing, audio/video technicians, graphic operators and directors are all positions that are needed and filled by community members and students coming together to make live television.
Education provided by the Media Center to students at USD422 is not only limited to high school students. The Kiowa County Junior High IMPACT Video Production Committee is also very involved in learning what it takes to create high quality video. Working closely with our staff the students learn how to shoot and edit video as well as produce live television. These students are learning skills of how to create professional videos as just a part of their quality education that they receive at USD422.
